The Bernard Sunley Foundation is a generous long-term supporter of the National Gallery’s Sunley Room exhibition programme. Support from the foundation over the past 30 years has enabled the Gallery to show a wide variety of exhibitions exploring different artists and themes, from Renaissance giant Titian to 17th-century Dutch master Nicolaes Maes, from pioneer of modernism David Bomberg to contemporary abstract painter Sean Scully. The Sunley Room is also the venue for our annual Take One Picture exhibition that showcases work by primary schoolchildren nationwide created in response to a painting from the collection.
The National Gallery is grateful to the Trustees of the Bernard Sunley Foundation for their enduring support.
