Ann Stephenson-Wright and Raymond White
Technical Bulletin Volume 11, 1987
Abstract
The original design for the National Gallery's packing case for the transport of paintings has been updated, and the results of a series of tests are compared with those from an earlier case. A report on quantities and nature of organic vapours in the sealed case is also provided. The tests are described including environmental tests, drip and topple tests, waterspray tests, and vibration tests. The new case affords increased protection over the old case.
