Visit our welcome space to discover our exciting activities ‘made by children, for children’. Explore a variety of fun, self-guided activities for all the family, inspired by our collection, where everyone can enjoy learning and creating together.
The social space is a great place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the Gallery, with cosy spots to read, unwind, connect with others, or simply enjoy some time out with a packed lunch. It's the perfect place to get creative during your family visit, with a relaxing atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
An immersive game that takes children on a hide and seek adventure in the brand-new Centre for Creative Learning at the National Gallery!
Suitable for ages 7+. Parental supervision is recommended at all times while playing The Keeper of Paintings. Access the web app for free on your phone or tablet. No download required.
Enjoy your packed lunch in the Social Space located on the top floor of the Centre for Creative Learning. There are hand washing facilities, toilets and recycle points for your rubbish.
Please remember to not consume food or drink inside the picture galleries, and please eat and drink only in our designated catering spaces: The Espresso Bar; Muriel’s Kitchen; and Ochre restaurant.
We have a buggie park in the learning centre, please note these items are left at your own risk and that items may be checked on entering the building.
There are toilet and baby changing facilities inside the entrance.
You can breastfeed wherever you feel comfortable.
The Gallery aims to make access to the collection as inclusive and welcoming as possible. There are a range of facilities to help you enjoy the collection, visit exhibitions, and events. Please visit our Access page for full details of our facilities.
We have an access box located in the Roden Centre for Creative Learning Welcome space which contains ear defenders and other sensory items to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
