Lazzaro Bastiani

Little is known of Lazzaro Bastiani (or Sebastiani). There are several signed works by him; the earliest dated one is of 1484. His style is derivative of Vivarini and Bellini. It also appears to be related to the style of Carpaccio, but he may have been Carpaccio's teacher, which would account for the similarity.
