Groundbreaking contemporary exhibitions in dialogue with the historic collection
The National Gallery stages a range of modern and contemporary exhibitions in dialogue with the historic collection. Every three years, we present a major exhibition of Modern and Contemporary art. These projects will engage with important artistic developments of the 20th and 21st centuries. Additionally, we create smaller and more experimental displays, which are designed to make visitors think about our collection in a new way.
