Andy Hibbert

Andy qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 and a Chartered Tax Advisor in 1994. He spent his early career in the private sector working in FMCG, Hotels and Leisure, Energy, Logistics and Wine Wholesaling. In 2006 bored of endless wine tastings he decided to try something a little bit different.

Andy became Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s first dedicated Finance Director. Leaving the charity as Chief Operating Officer after facilitating its income growth from £25m to £70m, Andy joined The Royal Society in 2012 in the same role, where he transformed the commercial and fundraising capability of the organisation.

He then managed a marketing and communications recruitment agency, was Interim Chief Operating Officer at the Donkey Sanctuary and had brief spells at Cancer Research UK and Anthony Nolan Blood Cancer as Chief Finance Officer.

He joined the National Gallery in 2018 and is currently the Director of Finance and Resources.
