The Brescianino brothers were born in Siena and collaborated on various altarpieces there. Their work cannot be clearly separated. They painted mythological figures as well as altarpieces and small devotional works. Andrea's most substantial surviving work is the altarpiece depicting the Coronation of the Virgin in the church of SS Pietro e Paolo in Siena.
