New Perspectives

Our 'New Perspectives' film series brings to light new angles on Lucian Freud's work, looking beyond his fame and infamy, and focussing on the artist's uncompromising commitment to painting in the 20th century.

In this film, three current students from the Slade School of Fine Art, where Freud was once a tutor, give their perspectives on the artist and his work. Mark Lee, Netanya Schwab-Matalon and Hannah Uzor visit The Credit Suisse Exhibition: Lucian Freud: New Perspectives, and meet the exhibition's curator, Daniel F. Herrmann, to share their thoughts and draw parallels with their own artistic practice.
