Advising him the Duc de Berry has purchased his painting 'La Confession' (no. 321) for 1,500 francs [listed in 'Galerie de son Altesse Royale Madame la duchesse de Berry. Écoles françaises. Peintres modernes', vol. 2, no. 5]; various mathematical calcuations on the address panel.
The painting was subsequently auctioned at Hôtel Drouot, Paris, 19-20 April 1865, lot 265.
